Ara lives in Carlsbad California with his family and still enjoys surfing, snowboarding, fishing and golfing in his spare time. Just recently Ara treated a premature baby giraffe, Msituni(see-TOO-nee), at the San Diego Zoo Wildlife Alliance with the same exact custom molded carbon/titanium brace that was made for him over 30 years ago.
